OLD BUSINESS:
Banquet –A plaque was giving to Wes for all the years he held the president seat. Thanks Wes for all the times you have helped the club. We appreciate you. Per Alan, speaking at the banquet is harder than it looks! Congrats to the 2011 champions. Chris Skinner, Wayne Matthews, Terry Jackson and Joe Smithberger. Trophies given out to the members that were not at the banquet. Doug cash was honored as Sportsman of the Year. He always shows up at the races, meetings and car washes even when he does not race a vehicle. He is a great supporter of SWDRA. Thank you Doug!  Lisa Covell was named as honorary member for the 2012 year.  Club Cup ideas: since we can’t get other car clubs involved, possibly have challenge within the club members. 2 ideas brought forward. 1. $10 to challenge for the cup- if the track has time to let us run for it. #2. Run it at the same time as dash for cash, pay an additional $10 for the chance to run. Winner gets half the pot plus trophy. At this time we would like the money to go for awards and a party for after SWDRA bracket challenge II. Also looking at doing a costume contest.  Tabled decision until next meeting but need to make decision.

NEW BUSINESS:

**10 points races this year, 3 combo, 4 top comp, 4 no bull and 4 Mopar Challenge. All acceptable for points. Mopar Challenge races are bracket races and run the same time as no bull. Voted on allowing these races to be eligible for points and was approved. Hopefully this can bring in some new members.

Robert costa found some old SWDRA shirts. $10 each. What a deal!

**Looking at adding a high school class for the track. Robert said if we have 10 or more cars interested he would allow them to run during the TNT. If anyone knows of someone who would be interested please have them contact Alan skinner and come to the next meeting if possible.

**Sportsman class is the smallest of all classes, not even enough to give out 5 trophies. Need to get more racers and are asking the sportsman members to please try and recruit new members for that class.

**50/50 at the track. Because we depend so heavily on the 50/50 we need to make sure we do the drawing at every race. We need more people to volunteer instead of the same people every time. We understand everyone is busy. Lisa suggested if we had 3 people to volunteer at each race they each could take a pit lane and be done in 20 or so minutes. Alan to bring a roster to the next meeting for people to sign up. Please help us out. Jim Riedel said the track would donate a board and space at the tech shack for us to write our winning numbers on. The day after the meeting Jim called Alan and said it is up and ready to go.Thanks Jim!

**Car Wash: Jim Costa said we could use the Yearwood parking lot this year for our car washes. We voted on 2 car washes and dates set for May 20th and August 5th as long as these are good for Jim. Thanks Jim for always helping us with this, it is very much appreciated. Need as many volunteers as possible.

Other track news:
**Roswell will be running races this year. Under new management. No schedule yet but they are working on all the details. Lots of work is still needed. It will be a ¼ mile unless you run 6 sec. or faster then it will be 1/8 mile. NHRA rules apply, but track will not sanctioned.
**Firebird will be having both a Divisional AND Regional race on Feb 23rd-26th. This is great for getting your points and races in.

TRACK REPORT:

Jim Riedel was on hand to give us a track report. Thank you Jim for coming to our meeting and we hope you will come to more in the future.
Infrared is in. Working on the wiring. Lots of maintenance and fixing of things. The trailer house behind the tower is now gone. Jim said we are welcome to come to any of the big shows and sell 50/50 tickets. When asked if SWDRA could help with anything at the track he said that they could always use some help cleaning during the weekend shows. Especially in the morning before the spectators come. Please contact Jim if you would like to volunteer.
